Jeju City to restrict government licenses for tax delinquents
Expected to impact 57 people

Jeju City will limit the issuance of government-related business licenses to delinquent taxpayers.

More than three delinquencies of bills over 300,000 won will result in the restriction of permits.

Authorities say this currently applies to 57 people… all of whom will have their permits revoked or business suspended by the end of the month.

Over 760 businesses in 25 industries with government licenses are behind in their taxes. The list includes firms involved in transportation, construction, and accommodation. All-told, they owe the city some 78 million won.

제주시, 지방세 상습체납자 관허사업 제한

제주시가 지방세 상습 체납자에 대한 행정제재를 강화합니다.

이를 위해 정당한 이유 없이 지방세를 3차례 이상 체납하고, 체납액이 30만원 이상인 상습 체납자는 관허사업을 제한하기로 했습니다.

이에 해당하는 체납자 57명에게는 이달안에 관허사업 영업정지 또는 허가 취소를 요구할 계획입니다.

제주시 지역에서는 자동차운송사업과 건설업, 숙박업 등 관허사업 25개 업종에서 760여 건, 7천800만원의 체납액이 발생했습니다.
