Construction industry still booming
\1.5t in new contracts this year


The construction industry in Jeju shows no signs of slowing down, with the value of new contracts closing in on two trillion won.

According to the Jeju branch of the Construction Association of Korea, 280 of its member firms signed 439 work contracts through the end of September this year. That is 2 percent more compared to the same period last year.

Those deals are worth 1.5 trillion won, 22 percent more than last year. The one-trillion-won mark was hit a full two months earlier than last year.

There was a 44 percent increase in public sector contracts, and a 13 percent bump in private sector work.



건설경기 호조세…신규 도급액 1조 원 돌파


제주도내 건설 경기가 호조세를 이어가며 신규 공사 도급액이 1조원을 넘어섰습니다.


대한건설협회 제주도회에 따르면 올들어 지난달까지 제주도내 280여 개 종합건설회사의 신규도급실적은
439건으로 지난해 같은 기간보다 2% 증가했습니다.


특히 신규도급액은 1조 500억원으로 지난해보다 22% 늘었으며 1조원 돌파시점도 지난해보다 두달 빨리 이뤄졌습니다.


부문별로 보면 공공부문이 44%, 민간부문은 13% 증가했습니다.
