JNU students call for probe into influence-peddling scandal
Choi Soon-sil alleged to have meddled in state affairs


Local university students are calling for an immediate probe into allegations that President Park Geun-hye allowed her confidante and longtime friend Choi Soon-sil to meddle in state affairs.

At a Thursday press conference at Jeju National University, student council representatives said the scandal shaking the country is a source of shame for the nation.

The students argued Park should let the public know exactly what happened and step down from her position if she is at all responsible for allowing Choi undue influence over national affairs.

최순실 비선 실세 파문과 관련해 제주에서도 대학생들이 시국선언을 하고, 박근혜 대통령의
최순실 게이트 규명과 책임있는 국정 운영을 위한 대책 마련을 요구했습니다.


제주대학교 총학생회는 오늘 제주대 한라터에서 기자회견을 갖고 소위 게이트 열풍으로
대한민국 전체가 흔들리며 국민들은 자괴감을 느끼고 있다고 주장했습니다.


그러면서 박 대통령은 누군가에 의한 것이 아닌 본인의 진심으로 국민들에게 응답하고
잘못과 책임에 당당하지 못한다면 자진 사퇴해야 한다고 강조했습니다.
