Area residents oppose forum on Ora Tourism Complex
‘Project should move ahead as planned’

The residents of Ora-dong and Odeung-dong oppose a forum that some civic groups want to have regarding the development of the Ora Tourism Complex.

At a press conference at from the provincial council building, the residents called for the suspension of a signature-seeking campaign in favor of the forum. They also said that they would hold the civic groups responsible for any setbacks to the development.

Ahead of the press conference, the residents visited the council and said the project should move ahead based on laws and principles, and that officials should not be swayed by the critics.

오라·오등 주민 "오라관광단지 정책토론 반대"


제주시 오라동과 오등동 주민들이 시민단체가 제안한 오라관광단지 정책토론에 반대 입장을 제시했습니다.


이들은 오늘(3일) 오전 제주도의회 도민의 방에서 기자회견을 열고 시민단체는
도민들을 선동하는 정책토론 서명운동을 중단하고 만일 오라관광단지 사업에 차질을 빚게 되면 법적 책임을 묻겠다고 강조했습니다.


주민들은 기자회견에 앞서 제주도청을 방문해 여론에 휘둘리지 말고 법과 원칙에 따라 사업을 진행해 달라고 요청했습니다.
