Gwandeokjeong Plaza restoration gets boost
Government, area residents to work together on project


The government and members of the public will work together to restore the old center of Jeju City - Gwangeokjeong Plaza.


The province has formed a group of 30 area residents to spearhead the project and it will soon begin collecting public opinion on the restoration.


This group will take part in the initiative from the beginning. The basic blueprint for restoration is expected to be finalized within the first half of next year, with construction slated to begin in the second half.

관덕정 광장 복원사업이 민관 합동으로 추진됩니다.


제주특별자치도는 최근 지역주민 30명으로 '민간합동 추진협의회'를 구성하고 관덕정 광장 복원에 따른 주민의견을 다양하게 수렴합니다.


특히 기본구상안을 마련하는 단계에서부터 참여를 유도한다는 방침입니다.


제주도는 가급적 내년 상반기 중에 기본구상안을 마련하고 하반기쯤에는 착공한다는 계획입니다.
