Jeju’s 2017 budget proposal: \4.4 trillion
8.45% higher than this year


The provincial government has submitted to the council a 4.4 trillion won budget proposal for next year.


That’s 8.45 percent higher than this year’s budget.


It includes 849 billion won in social welfare spending, 594 billion for environmental protection, and nearly 490 billion won in spending for the agriculture and marine sector.


The province has also increased the budget designed to strengthen its role as an administrative city… by 25.9 percent.


The money allocated to deal with waste, public transportation, and waterworks has gone up 90 percent compared to this year.


Finally, the province is seeking 85.8 billion won to fund free daycare for children up to the age of five in Jeju City, and another 25.2 billion won for the same program in Seogwipo.


내년 道 예산안 4조 4천억 편성… 8.45% 증가


제주특별자치도가 내년 예산안으로 4조 4천 493억 원을 편성해 도의회에 제출했습니다.


이같은 예산안은 올해보다 8.45% 증가한 것입니다.


주요내용을 보면 사회복지분야 8천 494억 원을 비롯해 환경보호분야 5천 935억 원, 농림해양수산분야 4천 898억 원 등 입니다.


특히 제주도는 행정시 기능 강화를 뒷받침하기 위해 자체 사업비를 올해 대비 25.9% 증액했습니다.


또 쓰레기 문제와 대중교통체계 개편, 상하수도처리 시설 등에 최대 90%까지 증액 편성했습니다.


한편 누리과정을 포함해 만 0살에서 만 5살까지 영.유아에 대한 보육료 지원으로 제주시에 858억 원,
서귀포시에 252억 원을 반영하기도 했습니다.
