Public search for new CEO of Jeju Energy Corporation
Lee Sung-gu resigned after poor assessment of JEC


The Jeju Energy Corporation is beginning a public recruitment drive to replace CEO Lee Sung-gu, who has resigned.


The JEC has announced it will form a recommendation committee following deliberations between the board of directors, the provincial council, and the provincial government.


Applications will be accepted through December 12th. The Jeju governor will recommend the final candidate.


Lee Sung-gu recently resigned with one year remaining in his term, taking responsibility for the results of a less-than-favorable assessment of the corporation.

제주에너지공사가 이성구 사장 퇴임으로 차기 사장 공모 절차에 들어갔습니다.


제주에너지공사는 이 사장의 퇴임에 따라 도의회와 제주도, 공사 이사회 추천을 통해 임원추천위원회를 구성하기로 했습니다.


이어 다음달 12일까지 후임 사장 공모를 진행한 뒤 후보자를 도지사에게 추천할 예정입니다.


이성구 사장은 임기를 1년 남겨두고 최근 공공기관장 평가 결과의 책임을 지고 퇴임했습니다.
