Crackdown on businesses deemed ‘harmful’ to minors
HS seniors have a lot more free time on their hands now


With the university entrance exam now over and test-takers with a lot more free time on their hands, Jeju City has announced a crackdown on businesses that are deemed harmful to them.


City officials are working with police and consumer food sanitation monitors to inspect 300 businesses through the end of December.


They are looking for those that have sold alcohol to or illegally hired minors. They are also inspecting hygiene practices at the businesses.


So far this year, 33 businesses have been forced to close or pay fines for such violations.

제주시가 수능시험이 끝남에 따라 청소년 유해업소에 대한 지도단속을 강화합니다.


이에따라 오늘(18일)부터 다음달 말까지 청소년 유해업소 300곳을 대상으로 자치경찰, 소비자식품감시원과 합동 지도단속을 벌일 계획입니다.


이 기간에 청소년에게 주류를 팔거나 고용하는 행위를 중점 단속하고 위생관리 실태 점검도 병행합니다.
