Parking garage to be built at airport
3-floor building will accommodate 850 vehicles


Authorities will build a parking garage at Jeju International Airport.


The Jeju branch of the Korea Airports Corporation has announced that the building is a response to the ever-rising number of airport users and the ever-dwindling number of parking spaces for them.


The three-floor garage will be able to accommodate 850 vehicles. Construction will begin at the end of this month and is slated for completion by the end of May.


Once open, the airport will have 1,500 parking spaces in total.


The KAC says it will open a temporary parking lot for 300 vehicles during the construction period. It will be south of the current lot.


제주공항, 주차난 해소 주차빌딩 신축


제주국제공항에 주차난 해소를 위한 주차빌딩이 들어섭니다.


한국공항공사 제주지역본부는 제주공항 이용객이 크게 늘어 주차난이 심각해짐에 따라 주차빌딩을 신축한다고 밝혔습니다.


주차빌딩은 차량 850대를 세울 수 있는 3층 규모로 이달 말 공사에 들어가 내년 5월 완공할 예정입니다.


주차빌딩이 완공되면 제주공항의 수용가능한 주차대수는 1천 500대로 늘어납니다.


공항공사는 공사 기간에 이용객 불편을 덜기 위해 기존 주차장 남쪽에 300대 규모의 대체 주차장을 운영하기로 했습니다.
