Tests for avian influenza come back negative
20 poultry farms tested


The Jeju Animal Sanitation Laboratory says all tests for avian influenza around local migratory bird habitats came back negative.


Researchers tested samples from birds at 20 poultry farms within close proximity to the five habitats designated as priority quarantine zones, including those in Gujwa, Hangyeong, and Hallim.


The laboratory will continue through May to test for bird flu and enact measures designed to prevent a local outbreak.

제주지역의 철새도래지 주변 가금농가에서는 아직까지 AI와 관련한 바이러스가 검출되지 않고 있습니다.


제주도동물위생시험소는 중점방역관리지구로 지정된 구좌와 한경 한림 등 5개 지구에 있는 가금류 사육농가 20여곳에 대해 오리와 거위, 기러기의 시료를 채취해 검사한 결과 조류인플루엔자와 관련한 바이러스는 검출되지 않았다고 밝혔습니다.


현재까지 바이러스는 검출되지 않았지만 내년 5월까지 가금농가에 대한 예찰검사와 방역을 지속적으로 추진한다는 계획입니다.
