Korea Tourist Guide Association publishes book on Jeju heritage
Information on 49 local sites


The Jeju branch of the Korea Tourist Guide Association has published a book on Jeju’s modern cultural heritage.


The book was compiled over a nine-month period beginning in March by association members, who visited cultural sites all across the island. Forty-nine locations are described in the book, with information on their history, management status, and value as a tourism resource.


The book includes pictures, easy-to-understand explanations, and maps for tours that include the sites.


In related news, the local branch of the guide association will hold a workshop at the Jeju KAL Hotel on December 6th on how to develop Jeju’s model cultural heritage into tourism resources.


통역관광안내사協, '근대문화유산을 찾아서' 발간


사단법인 한국관광통역안내사협회 제주지부가 도내에 흩어져 있는 근대문화유산을 현장 답사한 이야기를 담은 '제주 근대문화유산을 찾아서'를 발간했습니다.


이 책에는 지난 3월부터 9개월 동안 회원들이 도내 근대문화유산 49곳을 엄선해 역사와 관리실태, 관광자원으로서의 가치 등을 담고있습니다.


특히 도민과 관광객들이 쉽게 이해하고 접근할 수 있도록 사진과 해설, 코스별 탐방지도를 수록했습니다.


한편 관광통역안내사협회 제주지부는 오는 6일 제주칼호텔에서 제주 근대문화유산의 관광자원화 방안을 주제로 워크숍을 개최할 예정입니다.
