Nation’s 2017 budget includes \32.6b in Jeju funding
\9.7b more than original proposal


The National Assembly has passed the national budget for next year, and it added 9.7 billion won to the originally planned funding for Jeju to bring the island’s total to nearly 33 billion won.

Lawmakers boosted funding for expanding the sewage treatment plant in Dodu from 500 million to 1.5 billion won, and they added 1 billion won to to the national government’s funding of projects related to the April Third Incident, bringing that total to 3 billion won.

Assembly members also added to the reserve fund for the island one billion won for expanding the waste disposal facility in Dongbok-ri, Gujwa-eup and 3.3 billion one for parking towers equipped with electric car chargers.


내년 제주 현안 정부예산 326억…97억 증액


정부 예산안이 국회를 통과한 가운데 내년도 제주 관련 국비가 당초보다 97억 늘어난 326억 원으로 확정됐습니다.


주요 사업별로는 도두하수처리장 증설사업 예산이 기존 5억 원에서 10억 원 늘어난 15억원으로 늘어났고,


4.3 관련 예산도 20억원에서 30억원으로 10억원 증액됐습니다.


또 구좌읍 동복리 폐기물처리시설 확충사업 10억원과 전기차 충전주차타워 구축사업 예산도 33억원이 예비비로 반영됐습니다.
