Charging fee for electric vehicles slashed
Attempt to encourage more drivers to make the switch


The government is cutting the charging fee for electric vehicles by over 50 percent for the next three years.


The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy says the discount, which goes into effect next year, is an attempt to encourage more people to drive electric vehicles.


Motorists who drive 15,000 kilometers per year will pay 135,000 won. They are paying 400,000 won now.


내년부터 전기차 특례요금 도입…기본료 '면제'


정부가 전기자동차 보급을 확대하기 위해
내년 1월부터 3년동안 한시적으로
전기차 충전 요금을 50% 인하하고 기본요금도 면제합니다.


산업통상자원부는
이같은 내용의 전기차 특례요금제를 내년부터 도입한다고 밝혔습니다.


새 특례요금제가 시행되면
1년에 1만 5천 km를 운행하는 전기차 운전자의 경우
전기요금이
기존 40만 원에서
13만 5천 원으로 크게 줄어들게 됩니다.
