Development of Hwabuk commercial district to begin next year
Environmental impact assessment passes with conditions

Work will begin in the second half of next year on the development of a new commercial district in Hwabuk.

Jeju City recently announced that officials had conditionally passed the environmental impact assessment for the urban development project.

The next step is gaining permission from the provincial council in February. Once that is in hand, the city can start on a landscape assessment.

City officials say they will select a main developer, finalize the landscape blueprint, and finish all other administrative procedures within the first six months of next year.

제주시 화북상업지역 도시개발 사업이 내년 하반기에 착공될 전망입니다.

제주시는 최근 화북상업지역 도시개발 사업에 대한 환경영항평가 심의가 조건부 통과됐다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 내년 2월에 도의회 동의를 거친 후 경관 심의 절차를 마무리하면 하반기 착공에 들어갈 계획입니다.

제주시는 내년 상반기까지 사업시행자 지정과 경관계획 수립, 환지계획 수립 등
모든 행정절차를 마무리하기로 했습니다.
