Volunteers come together to help the underprivileged
Hundreds of red bean rolls distributed to social welfare centers

A group of volunteers recently got together to mark the end of the year and the winter solstice by doing something for the underprivileged among us.

Twenty employees of the Jeju branch of the Korean Red Cross and the Korea Airports Corporation took part. They spent four hours making 300 rolls stuffed with red beans. They then delivered them to social welfare facilities.

The Red Cross organized the event in response to the wishes it received from many people who said they wanted to do something meaningful at the end of the year to help their less-well-off neighbors.

사랑의 동지 팥빵 나눔 봉사활동 실시

연말이자 절기상 동지를 맞아 소외계층을 위한 사랑의 팥빵 나눔 봉사활동이 진행됐습니다.

대한적십자사 제주지사와 한국공항공사 제주본부 임직원 20여 명은 4시간에 걸쳐 팥빵 300여 개를 직접 만들고 도내 사회복지시설에 전달하며 이웃사랑을 실천했습니다.

이번 봉사활동은 연말연시를 의미있게 보내고 싶어하는 각 기관들의 요청에 따라
적십자사 제주지사가 계획했습니다.
