Governor to leave Saenuri Party around New Year’s
Won Heeryong working out details with mayors of Daegu, Ulsan

Governor (원희룡) Won Heeryong plans to leave the ruling Saenuri Party around the beginning of the year.

At a Thursday luncheon meeting with reporters, the governor said he would not leave the party the same day a group of lawmakers plans to, on Tuesday the 27th. He said he would wait until later this month, or early next month.

Won added that he is selecting a date based on discussions with Daegu Mayor (권영진) Gwon Yeong-jin and Ulsan Mayor (김기현) Kim Ki-hyun.

원지사, "새누리당 탈당 내년 초"

새누리당 탈당을 예고한 원희룡 제주도지사가 탈당 시점으로 내년 초를 예상했습니다.

원 지사는 오늘(22일) 취재기자들과 가진 오찬간담회에서 새누리당 탈당 시점과 관련해

국회의원 집단탈당이 이뤄지는 27일은 아닐 것이라며 연말이나 1월 초 쯤 진행할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.

그러면서 권영진 대구시장과 김기현 울산시장 등과 함께 탈당을 진행하고 있는 만큼 일정을 조율하고 있다고 덧붙였습니다.
