Police bust gang running illegal sports betting website
Three arrests connected to \400m site

The Jeju Dongbu Police Department has arrested three people, including a 38-year-old man surnamed Jung, on charges of running an illegal sports betting website.

Investigators say they ran the 400-million-won site out of an office in the city of Wonju, Gangwon-do last October.

Police say they attempted to avoid detection by authorities by using using phones and bank accounts that were registered in other people’s names.

정 씨를 구속했습니다.

특히 이들은 의도적으로 대포통장과 대포폰을 사용하며 경찰의 수사망을 피해왔던 것으로 경찰조사결과 확인됐습니다.
