Water and sewer rates going up in May
Water: 4.3 %, sewer: 27%

You will soon start paying higher water and sewer bills.

The provincial water and sewer department has announced plans to amend some ordinances. Beginning in May next year, water bills will be going up an average of 4.3 percent and sewer service will be on average 27 percent more expensive.

Specifically, water is going from 803 won to 837 won per ton, while the sewer fee is going from 415 to 527 won per ton.

Officials say doing this will boost the ratio to supply the services directly paid by residents to 90 percent for water and to 22.3 percent for sewer service.


상수도 4.3%, 하수도 27% 요금 인상 추진

내년 5월부터 상하수도 요금이 인상될 전망입니다.

제주도상하수도본부는 내년 5월부터 상수도요금은 평균 4.3%, 하수도요금은
평균 27%를 인상하는 내용의 조례개정안을 입법예고했습니다.

인상률을 적용하면 상수도 요금의 경우 업종 평균으로 톤당 803원에서 837원으로 오르고, 하수도 요금은 톤당 415원에서 527원으로 인상됩니다.

상하수도본부는 요금 인상을 통해 상수도 요금현실화율을 90%까지, 하수도는 22.3%까지 끌어 올린다는 계획입니다.
