JDC supports purchase of farming machinery
\2.2b given to 34 villages

The Jeju Free International City Development Center has given a total of 2.2 billion won to 34 island villages to help them purchase farming machinery.

JDC officials released a certificate Thursday detailing the contributions at a center conference room.

Some of the funding will go to nine villages where the JDC is promoting various projects. The other 25 community beneficiaries will be selected through an application process.

This is in addition to the tailored diving suits the JDC gave to 2,400 haenyeo earlier this year.

제주국제자유도시개발센터가 도내 34개 마을에 농기계 구매비용 22억원을 지원했습니다.

JDC는 오늘(27일) 본사 대회의실에서 34개 마을에 농기계 구매비용을 지원하는 내용의 증서를 전달했습니다.

지원금액은 22억여 원으로 JDC가 추진중인 사업부지와 연계된 9개 마을과 공모를 통해 선정된 25개 마을의 농기계 구입 비용으로 사용됩니다.

JDC는 올해 도내 해녀 2천400여 명에게 맞춤형 유색해녀복을 지원한 바 있습니다.
