‘Preparing Jeju for a healthy future’
Governor issues New Year’s message

Local government leaders have issued their New Year’s greetings.

Governor Won Heeryong says his administration will develop local society based on the values of consideration and tolerance. He also said he wants to avoid sprawling development on the island in order to prepare for a healthy future for Jeju.

Provincial council Speaker Shin Gwan-hong says the council should value and utilize the wisdom and opinions of others in order to resolve pressing problems, which include waste disposal and transportation issues. He also said he would do everything in his powers to realize the hopes and dreams of islanders.

정유년 새해를 맞아 도내 기관단체장들도 신년인사를 전했습니다.
원희룡 제주도지사는 새해에는 서로 배려하고 포용하는 제주 공동체를 만들어 가겠다며, 난개발을 방지해 건강한 미래 제주를 착실히 대비하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

또, 신관홍 제주도의회 의장도쓰레기 문제와 교통문제 등으로부터 벗어날 수 있도록
마음과 지혜를 모아야 한다며,제주도의회도 도민의 꿈과 희망을 실현시키기 위해
최선을 다하겠다고 말했습니다.
