Research into development plan for area surrounding 2nd airport
Study to last through end of 2017

The provincial government is beginning to map out a development plan for the area around the island’s planned second airport.

A consortium made up of representatives from the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements and the Jeju Development Institute will study the issue through the end of December.

The consortium will determine the size of the area to be developed as well as come up with methods to improve residential conditions in that area and plans to boost the local economy.

The province will accept public opinion on the process through area village offices and a special assistance office in Seongsan-eup.

제2공항 주변 발전계획 용역 착수

제주특별자치도가 제2공항 주변발전계획 수립을 위한 기본구상 용역에 들어갔습니다.

용역은 국토연구원과 제주발전연구원 컨소시엄이 맡아 내년 12월까지 1년 동안 진행합니다.

용역진은 제2공항 개발로 인한 주변지역의 범위와 면적 등을 정하고 주민 정주환경 개선방안, 협력적 상생을 위한 주민 사업 등을 발굴해 제시하게 됩니다.

제주도는 용역 과정에서 마을과 성산읍특별지원사무소 등을 통해 주민 의견을 충분히 수렴해 반영할 계획입니다.
