Jeju housing prices grow fastest in nation
Average sales price grew 4.63% last year

Housing prices in Jeju grew at the fastest pace in the country last year.

According to Korea Appraisal Board, local prices grew an average of 4.63 percent last year. That’s more than six times the national average of 0.71 percent.

Last month, the average sales price on the island for a housing unit was 232 million won, close to the national average of 248 million won. The highest average was in Seoul, where it was 400 million. Then came Geonggi Province, Ulsan, and then Jeju, which had the fourth highest sales price in the nation.

There was slower growth in jeonse lease prices last year. They increased the most in Sejong City, at four percent. They grew at the sixth fastest pace in the nation here in Jeju at 1.88 percent.

지난해 제주지역의 주택매매가격 상승률이 전국 최고를 보였습니다.

한국감정원에 따르면 지난해 제주도내 주택매매가격은 전년에 비해 4.63% 올라 전국 평균 상승률 0.71%를 6배 웃돌며 17개 시도 가운데 가장 높은 것으로 나타났습니다.

특히 지난해 12월말 기준으로 제주의 평균 주택 매매가격은 2억 3천 200만원으로 전국 평균인 2억 4천 800만원에 근접했으며, 4억원대인 서울과 경기, 울산에 이어 4번째 비싼 것으로 분석됐습니다.

한편 전세가격은 전국적으로 상승폭이 둔화된 가운데 세종시가 4%로 가장 높았고, 제주는 1.88%로 6번째를 보였습니다.
