Province to help exporters buy intellectual property insurance
\200m set aside for project in 2017

Beginning this year, the provincial government will help local exporters buy intellectual property insurance.

It has set aside 200 million won to fund the initiative in 2017. The support encompasses IP safety insurance for exports, IP insurance for North America and Europe, and trademark design insurance for agricultural products.

Last year, local exporters applied for international property rights 55 times through the Jeju Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s International Property Rights Center.

올해부터 지식재산권 소송보험 지원

제주특별자치도가 올해부터 수출기업에 대한 지식재산권 소송보험 지원 사업을 추진합니다.

이를 위해 올해 사업비 2억원을 투입해 수출 안심지재권 보험과 북미유립지재권 단체보험, 농식품 상표 디자인 안심보험을 지원합니다.

지난해의 경우 도내 기업의 해외 지식재산권 출원은 제주상공회의소 지식재산센터를 통해서만 55건이 접수됐습니다.
