Seogwipo testing new waste disposal system
Designated days for recyclables

Following Jeju City’s lead, Seogwipo is now trialling a new waste disposal system.

Residents have designated days on which to bring their recyclables to “Clean House” collection stations.

Regular trash and recyclables may only be disposed of between 3 p.m. and 4 a.m., but food waste may be disposed of at anytime.

For those people who are unable to get their recyclables out at the proper time, the city will allow 24-hour disposal at the (준광) Jun-gwang Clean House in Cheonji-dong.


서귀포시, 요일별 배출제 시범 시행

제주시에 이어 서귀포시도 이달부터 쓰레기 요일별 배출제를 시범 시행합니다.

이에따라 재활용품은 요일마다 정해진 날짜에 클린하우스로 배출해야 합니다.

배출 시간은 재활용품과 불에 타는 일반 쓰레기의 경우 오후 3시부터 다음날 새벽 4시까지로 제한됩니다.

다만 음식물 쓰레기는 매일 시간에 제한 없이 버릴 수 있습니다.

서귀포시는 배출 요일을 놓쳐 집 안에 재활용 쓰레기를 쌓아두지 않도록 중앙로터리 부근에 있는 천지동 준광역 클린하우스를 24시간 개방해 언제든지 버릴 수 있도록 했습니다.
