Younger tourists prefer summer, older like winter
BOK analyzes mobile phone data

New data suggests that tourists in their 20s and 30s prefer to come to Jeju in the summer, while those in their 40s and 50s prefer the winter.

The local branch of the Bank of Korea came to that conclusion based on its analysis of mobile phone data.

The younger visitors gravitated toward Woljeong Beach, Olle trails, and the Jungmun resort, while older ones spent more time on Hallasan Mountain.

Most tourists to Jeju are in their 30s and 40s. Those age groups are followed by visitors in their 50s and 20s.

20대와 30대는 여름, 40대와 50대는 겨울에 제주를 많이 방문한 것으로 집계됐습니다.

또 20대와 30대는 월정리 해수욕장과 올레길, 중문관광지를 장년층은 한라산을 많이 찾는 것으로 조사됐습니다.

한편 제주 방문 관광객 중 30대와 40대가 가장 많고 50대와 20대가 뒤를 잇고 있습니다.
