2017 target: 5 companies from Seoul area relocate to Jeju
Provincial officials say moves would create 300 jobs

The local government plans to create 300 new jobs this year by enticing five companies to relocate here from the capital region.

Local officials will work with the Korea Land & Housing Corporation and the Jeju Free International City Development Center on marketing efforts.

As part of the promotions, local officials will hold tailored presentations and offer familiarization tours for representatives from companies involved in information technology, biotech, and energy technology.

Companies in the capital area that relocate to Jeju are legally entitled to ten percent more in financial aid than if they move elsewhere.

제주도가 올해 수도권에 있는 5개 기업을 유치해 300개의 일자리를 창출하기로 했습니다.

이를 위해 LH공사와 JDC와의 협업체계를 강화해 기업 유치 공동 마케팅을 추진합니다.

유치대상은 수도권내 IT와 BT, ET 업종으로 맞춤형 투자유치 설명회와 팸투어도 진행합니다.

제주도는 수도권 기업이 제주로 이전할 경우 지원 우대지역 특례를 활용해 다른지역보다 10% 더 지원해줄 계획입니다.
