Hallasan Manseol Ceremony on Sunday
Mountaineers wish for peace and harmony in new year

The 44th (만설) Manseol Ceremony was Sunday at Eoseungsaengak on Hallasan Mountain.

The Jeju branch of the Korean Alpine Association hosted the event. Hikers and mountaineers wished for peace and national harmony in the new year.

Hallasan National Park dispatched safety officers to Witsae Oreum and Sajebi Hill to make sure all of the visitors and participants were safe. They also banned the use of disposable lunch packs, in order to cut down on the amount of waste on the mountain. They did, however, allow other types of food, like gimbab and burgers.


한라산 만설제 15일 윗세오름서 봉행

제 44회 한라산 만설제가 모레(15일) 오전 한라산 어승생오에서 봉행됩니다.

사단법인 대한산악협회 제주도협회가 주최하는 이번 만설제에는 많은 산악인들이 참가한 가운데 올 한해 무사안녕과 민족 화합을 기원하게 됩니다.

한라산국립공원사무소는 많은 탐방객이 몰릴 것을 대비해 윗세오름과 사제비동산 등에 안전요원을 배치하고 쓰레기 줄이기 차원에서 김밥과 햄버거 등을 제외한
일회용 도시락 등은 지참하지 말 것을 당부하고 있습니다.
