Fuel surcharges going up next month
Doubling to \2,200 on domestic flights

Airlines are increasing fuel surcharges on all tickets beginning next month.

Domestic airlines say the fee on domestic flights will be 2,200 won for all reservations made beginning in February. That’s double the current surcharge of 1,100 won.

As global oil prices rise, the fee for international flights will also increase next month, for the first time since September 2015. The exact fuel surcharge will be set according to the distance of the flight.

다음달 항공기 유류할증료 인상

항공권에 부과되는 유류할증료가 다음달부터 발권되는 항공권부터 인상됩니다.

국내 항공업계에 따르면 다음달 발권하는 국내선 항공권 유류할증료는 기존 1천100원에서 2천200원으로 오릅니다.

국제선 유류할증료도 국제 원유가격이 유류할증료 부과 기준을 넘어서면서 2015년 9월 이후 18개월 만에 이동 거리에 비례해 부과됩니다.
