No fines for voluntary reports of fraudulent real estate sales
New rule for large developments goes into effect Friday

Anyone who voluntarily declares fraudulent real estate transactions will be exempt from fines.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport recently introduced new legislation. Beginning Friday, all fines will be waived for people who report their own illegal transactions of their own free will.

For investigations that have already begun, the ministry will waive 50 percent of the fine if the offender cooperates with police and provides evidence.

This new rule covers townhouse complexes of at least 30 units and developments that cover at least 3,000 square meters.

부동산 허위 거래 자진신고하면 과태료 면제

앞으로 부동산 허위 거래를 자진신고하면 과태료가 면제됩니다.

국토교통부는 부동산 거래 신고 등에 관한 법률을 제정하고 오는 20일부터 부동산 허위 거래 사실을 자진신고하면 과태료를 전액 면제해주기로 했습니다.

또 조사 시작 후에 증거자료를 제출하는 등 협조하면 과태료를 50% 감면해주기로 했습니다.

이와 함께 30가구 이상 공동주택이나 분양면적 3천㎡ 이상 건축물도 부동산 거래 신고 대상에 포함했습니다.
