Household loans in Jeju near \11t
Up 41.5% in one year

Local households continue to take out more loans.

The Jeju branch of the Bank of Korea says the total amount in household loans issued on the island hit nearly 11 trillion won in November. That’s three percent higher than the month before, and a staggering 41.5 percent higher than the year before.

Over the same twelve months, the average household in Korea took on just 13 percent more in loans.

Mortgage totals remained relatively flat over the period, due to tighter lending restrictions. The increase came in the form of loans from non-banking financial institutions.


제주 가계대출 11조 육박…증가율 '최고'

제주지역 가계대출이 계속 늘면서 11조 원에 육박했습니다.

한국은행 제주본부에 따르면 지난해 11월 기준으로 가계대출 잔액은 10조 9천900억 원으로 전달보다 3% 증가했습니다.

1년 전과 비교해서는 41.5% 증가한 것으로 전국 평균 증가율 13%를 크게 웃돌고 있습니다.

특히 대출심사 강화로 예금은행에서의 주택담보대출을 제외한 비은행금융기관과
기타대출이 크게 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.
