Crackdown on unfair business practices at local casinos
Provincial inspectors to focus on sales records

The provincial government will crack down on unfair business practices at island casinos over the upcoming holidays.

Local casinos are only open to foreign gamblers, and China celebrates the Lunar New Year this weekend as well.

Local officials will set up four ten-member squads of inspectors. Among the offenses they will be on the lookout for are improperly reported sales revenue, or the lack of such records at all.

In addition, the teams will be pouring over sales records and collecting data in order to determine how much the casinos owe for their mandatory Tourism Promotion Fund contributions for last year.
