Average of 490 flights per day over upcoming holidays
Airport will be handling nearly 80,000 people daily

Jeju International will be handling an average of 490 flights daily over the upcoming holidays.

According to the Jeju branch of the Korea Airports Corporation, about 2,450 flights are scheduled between Thursday and Monday. That includes some 40 extra holiday flights. All told, some 80,000 people will be using the airport every day.

The airport office has formed a special team tasked with minimizing the problems and congestion caused by so many travelers. The squad will keep an eye on airport facilities and station people in the airport itself, and in its parking lots, to help passengers get where they need to go.

이번 설 연휴동안 제주노선에 하루 평균 490여 편의 항공기가 운항합니다.

한국공항공사 제주본부에 따르면 설 연휴가 시작되는 오는 26일부터 30일까지 임시편 40여 편 등 2천450여 편이 운항할 예정입니다.

이에 따라 하루 평균 490여 편의 항공기가 뜨고내리면서 8만여 명이 제주공항을 이용할 것으로 예상됩니다.

공항공사는 특별교통대책반을 운영해 공항 시설을 점검하고 여객청사와 주차장에 안내원을 추가 배치해 혼잡을 최소화하기로 했습니다.
