Survey underway on adjustment of electoral districts
1,600 islanders being polled through February 10

Officials began polling island residents Thursday on how to adjust electoral districts and representation at the provincial council.

Researchers are surveying 1,600 locals by phone through February 10th.

They are asking respondents about proposed changes in the number of council members, proposed adjustments in the number of proportional representatives on the council, and the proposed creation of a new electoral district on the island.

Council members, themselves, along with political party members, teachers organizations, and other groups are being polled separately on these same issues through February seventh.

도의원 선거구 획정안 여론조사 시작

내년 도의원 선거구 획정안에 대한 도민 의견을 묻는 여론조사가 오늘(25일)부터 시작됐습니다.

다음달 10일까지 진행되는 여론조사는 도민 1천 6백명을 대상으로 전화 응답 방식으로 이뤄지며

도의원 정수를 조정하는 안과 도서지역 선거구 신설안 그리고 비례대표 비율 조정안에 대해 응답하면 됩니다.

이와함께 도의원과 정당관계자 교원단체 등 이해관계자들을 대상으로 한 설문조사도 다음달 7일까지 진행됩니다.
