Jeju Fire Festival begins March 2
Oreum will be set alight March 4

What is arguably the island’s premiere annual event, the Jeju Fire Festival, will be from March 2nd through the 5th at Saebyeol Oreum in Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup.

This is the 20th edition of the festival. Organizers have prepared 79 separate events for visitors to enjoy, including some that were selected through a contest.

The highlight of the festival, when the oreum is lit on fire, is scheduled for March 4th.

There will be a number of related events designed to revitalize the old part of Jeju City on the eve of the festival. The city will bar vehicles from the area around (관덕정) Gwandeokjeong Pavilion for them.

제주들불축제 3월 2일 개막

제20회 제주들불축제가 오는 3월 2일부터 5일까지 나흘동안 애월읍 봉성리 새별오름을 중심으로 열립니다.

'들불의 희망, 세계로 번지다'를 주제로 열리는 이번 들불축제는 전국 공모를 통해 선정된 프로그램을 포함해 모두 79개의 다양한 프로그램으로 진행됩니다.

축제의 하이라이트인 오름 불놓기는 행사 사흘째인 3월 4일 진행됩니다.

제주시는 축제 전야제가 열리는 관덕정 광장 주변을 차 없는 거리로 조성해 원도심 활성화 사업과 연계해 진행할 예정입니다.
