교통사고 잦은 곳 도로개선사업 '효과'

교통사고가 잦은 곳에 대한 도로개선 사업이 효과를 거두고 있습니다.

국민안전처와 도로교통공단에 따르면

제주도내 대상지점 6군데의 효과분석 결과

교통사고로 인한 인명피해가 개선사업 전보다 53% 감소했습니다.

또 교통사고 발생건수도 54%의 감소율을 보여

개선효과가 높은 것으로 분석됐습니다.

제주도는 지난 2014년부터 지난해까지

사업비 50억원을 투입해 교통사고가 자주 발생하는 22군데 도로에 대해 개선사업을 벌였습니다.


Road safety project proves effective

Fatalities down by 53%, accidents by 54%


A project to improve road infrastructure where traffic accidents happen frequently has shown positive results.


According to the Ministry of Public Safety and Security and the Road Traffic Authority, the project reduced loss of life by 53 percent in six regions, as well as reducing the number of accidents by 54 percent.

From 2014 through 2016, the provincial government contributed some 5 billion won to improving conditions on twenty-two roads with the aim of reducing traffic accidents.
