제주시지역 지방세 체납률이 꾸준이 줄고 있습니다.

제주시에 따르면 지난해 지방세 체납률은 2.9%로

최근 5년 동안 가장 낮은 규모입니다.

특히 지방세 체납률 2.9%는

지난해 12월 부과된 자동차세 체납에 따른 것으로

징수활동을 강화해 2.5% 수준으로 끌어내릴 계획입니다.

제주시는 생계곤란자는 분납을 유도하는 한편

고액, 상습 체납자에 대해서는 공매나 추심 등 체납처분을 강화해 나가기로 했습니다.

Defaults on the payment of local taxes have fallen steadily in Jeju.

Local officials says that the rate of default stood at two-point-nine percent last year, which was the lowest in the past five years.

Officials said the rate was affected by the failure of car owners to pay their automobile taxes last December. The provincial government indicated it will tighten the collection of taxes to further reduce the overall rate to two-point-five percent.

To that end, the government plans to help those who are struggling to make ends meet by allowing them to pay in installments. Habitual delinquents, meanwhile, will be subject to public sales or collections.
