‘Bird flu virus in Gujwa-eup is low pathogenic strain’
Poultry transport ban lifted

Researchers say the avian influenza virus discovered in a Gujwa-eup migratory bird habitat is a low pathogenic strain.

The province asked the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency to test the virus. Results indicate it is a type that is less likely to cause disease.

Provincial authorities have therefore lifted a transport ban on 22 poultry farms within ten kilometers of the habitat that was instituted January 26th.

제주특별자치도는 제주시 구좌읍 하도리 철새도래지에서 검출된 조류인플루엔자 바이러스에 대해 농림축산검역본부에 검사를 의뢰한 결과 저병원성으로 최종 확인됐다고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 지난달 26일부터 시행했던 철새도래지 반경 10km이내의 가금농가 22개소에 대한 이동제한을 해제했습니다.
