Discussions on administrative reorganization to begin
Provincial officials forming committee to study issue

Local officials will begin discussions on how to restructure provincial administration.

They will first form a committee in accordance with relevant ordinances. Officials will then appoint on Monday 15 members of the committee. They will be drawn from legal circles, academia, and civic groups.

The committee will analyze the administrative system currently in place. Based on the results of that analysis, it will then draw up reorganization recommendations by October.

The provincial government will use those recommendations to finalize a plan, and then add it to the next proposed revision of the Jeju Special Law.

행정체제 개편 논의 본격…위원회 구성

제주특별자치도 행정체제 개편 논의가 본격화됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 관련 조례에 따라 행정체제개편위원회를 구성하고 오는 6일,
법조계와 학회, 시민단체 등에서 15명을 위원으로 위촉합니다.

위원회는 올해 10월까지 행정체제 개편 용역을 수행하면서 현행 행정체제의 장단점을 분석하고 개편안을 도출하게 됩니다.

제주도는 용역 결과를 토대로 최종개편안을 만들고 향후 제주특별법에 반영한다는 계획입니다.
