Apartment prices stabilize
Demand falls during ‘Singugan’ moving season

Although it is the traditional “Singugan” moving season, apartment prices are stabilizing.

According to the Korea Appraisal Board, the apartment price index in Jeju was 121.7 as of January 30th. That’s where it stood the week before.

This is in marked contrast to recent years. Since 2014, prices have risen about one percent during “Singugan.”

For the first time in 20 weeks, prices for “jeonse” leases, in which the renter makes a huge down payment that is then returned in full at the end of the contract, also flattened. They had been rising consistently since last September.

The Korea Appraisal Board says prices stabilized because of decreased demand this moving season.

아파트 매매·전세가격 '보합세'

제주의 전통 이사철인 신구간에도 불구하고 아파트 매매가격 상승세가 주춤해졌습니다.

한국감정원이 발표한 주간 아파트 가격 동향에 따르면 지난달 30일 기준으로
제주지역 아파트 매매지수는 121.7로 전주와 보합세를 보이고 있습니다.

2014년 이후 신구간 기간에 1% 안팎의 상승률을 기록했던 것과는 대조적입니다.

또 지난해 9월 이후 상승세를 이어오던 아파트 전세가격도 20주 만에 보합세로 돌아섰습니다.

한국감정원은 신구간 수요가 예년보다 줄어들면서 가격 상승률이 주춤해진 것으로 분석하고 있습니다.
