Seogwipo paying up to \20,000 for pointing out a typo
City accepting reports of problems on public facilities

The city of Seogwipo is running a center at which anyone can report language flaws on public facilities, including signs and government webpages.

People can report typos, mistranslations, misprints, or even physical damage.

They may be reported in person at community service centers or via website, telephone, or social media.

The city will pay ten to twenty thousand won for each report.

공공시설물 '옥에 티' 신고센터 운영

서귀포시가 공공시설물과 안내판, 홈페이지 등에 대한 '옥에 티'를 접수하는 신고센터를 운영합니다.

신고 대상은 오탈자를 비롯해 표준어, 외국어 번역이 잘못된 표기 또는 훼손된 시설물입니다.

시청 또는 읍면동사무소를 방문하거나 홈페이지, 전화, SNS 등으로 신고할 수 있습니다.

서귀포시는 신고된 오류에 대해 건당 1~2만원의 보상금을 지급할 예정입니다
