Province encourages stricter visiting hours at area hospitals
‘Recommendations designed to improve patient welfare’

The provincial government is encouraging people to restrict their hospital visiting hours.

Officials recommend that people confine their visits to between six and eight p.m. on weekdays. On weekends, they suggest going from 10 in the morning until noon, and/or from six to eight p.m.

The province also is advising against group visits and bringing food, flowers, and potted plants to sick relatives and friends.

Officials say they are not writing new regulations to govern visiting hours. These recommendations, they say, are just that - recommendations designed with patient welfare in mind.

제주특별자치도가 병문안 문화개선 사업을 추진합니다.

주요내용을 보면 병문안 시간을 평일에는 오후 6시부터 8시까지, 주말이나 공휴일에는 오전 10시부터 낮 12시까지, 오후 6시부터 8까지로 제한하자는 것입니다.

또 꽃이나 화분, 외부 음식물의 반입을 금지하고 가급적 단체 방문을 자제하자는 내용입니다.

제주도는 법적인 제한규정은 없지만 환자들의 편의를 위한 것인 만큼 적극 협조해 줄 것을 당부하고 있습니다.
