Seoul awards Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival
Event gets another \280m in national funding

The national government has selected the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival as the performing arts event that best represents the island.

In offering a venue for wind ensembles from around the country and the wider world, officials found the festival to be true to the stated goals of organizers. That was one of the main reasons for the designation.

The selection means the festival qualifies for an additional 280 million won in national funding.

제주국제관악제가 정부가 인정하는 지역 대표 공연예술제로 선정됐습니다.

제주국제관악제는 전국 광역자치단체를 대상으로 한 공연예술분야 공모에서
사업계획의 충실성과 실현가능성 등에서 높은 평가를 받아 지역 대표 공연예술제로
선정됐습니다.

이에따른 인센티브로 국비 2억 8천만 원을 추가로 지원받게 됐습니다.
