Tougher punishments for soliciting in Jeju Airport
Revised bill will work to curb illegal conduct


(오영훈) O Young-hun, a member of the main opposition Democratic Party, submitted a bill to modify the airport facility law, which would institute a crackdown on soliciting in the Jeju Airport.

Specifically, the bill suggests that the national and provincial police be given the right to issue an expulsion order to those illegally soliciting.

According to the current law, people are barred from buying or selling without permission. The problem lies in that the punishment for a violation is not strong enough to completely curb these acts.
