Province subsidizing installation of solar panels at 1,700 homes
Application period begins March 20

The provincial government is subsidizing the installation of solar panels on 17-hundred homes this year.

It is covering the cost of installation for the panels on 100 houses, as part of an energy independence project through which households generate all of their own power.

It is also helping to pay for the installation of small solar panels on the verandas of 16-hundred apartments, where normal panels can’t easily be set up.

The province will recruit firms to supply the panels through Friday, March tenth. Then, beginning on the 20th, it will start advertising the program and accepting applications from interested homeowners.

제주특별자치도가 올해 도내 1천 700가구에 태양광 발전시설을 지원합니다.

주요내용을 보면 가정에서 소비하는 모든 생활에너지를 태양광발전으로 대체하는
에너지 자립형 주택 태양광 지원사업에 100가구를 선정해 설치비를 지원합니다.

또 입지여건으로 태양광 발전 설치가 어려운 공동 주택 가운데 1천 600가구를 선정해 베란다형 미니태양광 설치 사업을 추진합니다.

제주도는 오는 10일까지 올해 태양광발전 보급사업을 추진할 기업을 모집하고
이어 오는 20일부터 별도의 공고를 통해 도민들의 신청을 받을 예정입니다.
