China bans group tours to South Korea
Individual tourists subject to strict inspections upon return

China has ordered its travel agencies to stop selling group tours to South Korea.

Analysts say this is retaliation for Seoul’s decision to deploy the THAAD anti-missile system.

According to China.com, a state-owned portal, major travel agencies have removed Korean trips from their travel package offerings for an indefinite period.

Individual Chinese may still travel to the country, but not as part of group tours. Authorities say people should think carefully about doing so, though, as customs officials will conduct thorough inspections upon their return.

앞으로도 한국 단체여행 상품 판매가 언제 재개될지 불투명하다고 덧붙였습니다.

이와함께 개별여행은 가능은 하지만 세관에서 엄격한 검사가 이뤄지고 있다며
신중하게 생각해야 한다고 보도했습니다.
