Preparations for April Third Incident ceremony
Official memorial period: March 21 to April 10

Local officials have begun preparing for the 69th commemoration ceremony for the victims of the April Third Incident.

The provincial government has made a final decision on the slogan for the event. It will be printed on a large arch, promotional towers, and other materials related to the ceremony.

Officials have designated March 21st to April 10th as the commemoration period, during which time flags will be flown at half staff. The province has organized classes on history and peace and human rights. A number of artistic and cultural performances have also been lined up.

Finally, in order to make travel to the ceremony as safe and convenient as possible, the province will set up some additional parking areas and run shuttle buses.

제69주년 4.3 희생자 추념식 준비작업이 본격화되고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도는 최근 4.3 희생자 추념식 슬로건 선정작업을 마무리하고 대형아치와 선전탑 등 각종 홍보물에 활용할 예정입니다.

또 오는 21일부터 다음달 10일까지를 4.3 추념기간으로 정하고 조기게양과 4.3 역사교육, 평화인권교육, 문화예술공연을 진행합니다.

이와 함께 추념식 참배객의 안전과 편의제공을 위해 주차공간을
마련하고 순환버스를 확대 배치할 예정입니다.
