Moon Jae-in support group formed in Jeju
Leading Minjoo Party presidential contender

Like elsewhere in the country, a support group has formed here on the island for former Minjoo Party leader and leading presidential contender Moon Jae-in.

Group members say it is high time for change in the country. During a Wednesday press conference from the provincial office, they said the Park Geun-hye administration has driven Korea to a dead end. Moon, they argue is the right person to get the nation back on track, and they appealed for people to support him.

About 21-hundred people have joined the group. They include one of Jeju’s representatives at the National Assembly, (위성곤) We Seong Gon, former lieutenant governor Yang Jo-hoon, other former politicians, religious leaders, and former directors of cultural and civic organizations.

문재인 전 더불어민주당 대표를 지지하는 모임인 더불어포럼이 제주에서도 구성됐습니다.

제주 더불어포럼은오늘(8일) 오전 제주도의회 도민의방에서 기자회견을 갖고박근혜 정부 4년 동안 대한민국은 총체적 위기에 내몰렸고 지금은 정권교체가 반드시 실현돼야 한다고 말했습니다.

그러면서 대한민국을 반듯하게 세우기 위해서는문재인 후보가 적임자라며 지지를 호소했습니다.

한편 제주더불어포럼 발기인에는위성곤 국회의원과 양조훈 전 제주도 정무부지사, 임문철신부 이종우 전 남제주군 의장을 비롯해문화예술계와 4.3을 비롯한 각종 단체 전 현직 회장 등 2천 100여 명이 참여하고 있습니다.
