JTO focusing more on Taiwanese tourists
Direct flights scheduled to start at end of month

As part of efforts to mitigate the hit to the local tourism industry caused by China’s ban on tour packages to Korea, local authorities are working to attract more Taiwanese visitors.

Through Saturday, the Jeju Tourism Organization is giving presentations on what Jeju has to offer to representatives from Taiwanese airlines, tour companies, and media.

The JTO is also working with Taiwan’s Gangbok Travel Agency to develop Jeju tour packages. They will entail twice-weekly direct flight service to the island that begins March 28th.

관광공사, 대만 관광객 유치 마케팅 추진

중국 정부의 한국 여행상품 판매 중단으로 중국인 관광객이 급감한 가운데 대만 관광객 유치를 위한 다양한 마케팅이 추진됩니다.

제주관광공사는 오는 11일까지 대만 현지 항공과 여행 업계, 언론매체 관계자 등을 대상으로 제주 관광설명회를 진행합니다.

또 대만 강복여행사와 오는 28일부터 제주-대만 직항노선을 주 2회 운항하기로 하고 이와 연계한 관광상품을 개발할 계획입니다.
