Wildflowers in bloom at Jeolmul Recreational Forest
Adonis and Byeonsan winter aconite

Spring has sprung at Jeju City’s Jeolmul Natural Recreation Forest.

City authorities say a lot of visitors are enjoying the adonis and Byeonsan winter aconite that are now in full bloom around Jeolmul Oreum and along one of the trails.

The forest is actually the largest habitat of adonis on the island.

It is home to a number of wildflower species. Calanthe orchids bloom in April and May, mountain hydrangeas in June and July, and magic lilies in August and September.

절물휴양림, 복수초·변산바람꽃 군락 만개

제주시 절물자연휴양림에 봄의 전령인 복수초와 변산바람꽃이 만개했습니다.

제주시에 따르면 최근 절물 오름과 무장애산책로 주변에 복수초와 변산바람꽃이 만개해 탐방객들의 발길이 이어지고 있습니다.

특히 복수초는 절물자연휴양림이 최대 군락지로 알려졌습니다.

절물자연휴양림에는 4~5월에는 새우란, 6~7월에는 산수국, 8~9월에는 상사화 등 계절에 따라 야생화가 군락을 이루고 잇습니다.
