Jeju City outlines support for 2,500 households

Jeju City will begin offering welfare services tailored to the specific needs of people with developmental disabilities.

The city has set aside a total of 19 million won for adult guardians and 2.3 million won in support for parent consultations.

Households that make less than 150 percent of the national average income may apply for the aid through local community service centers.

About 2,500 people suffer from developmental disabilities in Jeju City. That’s ten percent of the city’s disabled population.

제주시, 발달장애인 복지서비스 사업 추진

제주시가 발달장애인 특성을 고려한 복지서비스사업을 추진합니다.

이를 위해 성년후견지원사업에 1천900만원,
부모상담지원사업에 230여 만원의 예산을 확보하고 지속적으로 전개합니다.

지원대상은 전국가구 평균소득 150%, 4인기준 796만원 이하로 읍·면·동주민센터로 신청하면 됩니다.

제주시에 등록된 발달장애인은 2천500여 명으로 제주시 등록장애인의 10%에 이릅니다.
